Setup

Add HALO to your glasses.

HALO runs as a web app on your Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses — there's no app store download. It takes about two minutes to set up. Here's how.

Before you start

Step by step

1

Enable Developer Mode

In the Meta AI app, turn on Developer Mode for your glasses. While HALO is in developer preview, this is required to add custom web apps. If it isn't on yet, the app will prompt you the first time you try to add one.

2

Open the Web Apps menu

In the Meta AI app, go to App Settings → App Connections → Web Apps, then choose Add a Web App. (Menu names may shift slightly as Meta updates the app.)

3

Enter the HALO address

Give it a name like HALO and paste the address: halonavi.com. Or scan the quick-add code below to fill it in automatically.

4

Connect

Tap Connect. HALO will now appear in your Web Apps list and on your glasses.

5

Open HALO and pair

Launch HALO from your glasses. You'll see a short pairing code — enter it in the companion to link your session for setup and checkout.

6

Start navigating

Allow location access when prompted, set a destination, and you're off. Your first few trips are free so you can try it before choosing a plan.

Note on developer preview: Meta Ray-Ban Display web apps are still in developer preview. If a friend tries to add HALO without Developer Mode enabled, the Meta AI app will prompt them to turn it on first. As Meta opens this up, we'll update these steps.
