Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of HALO, a heads-up navigation app for Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses by Guillermo Alarcon (FutureVizion), Tokyo, Japan. By using HALO, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use HALO.
1. What HALO is
HALO is a web app that brings turn-by-turn navigation, search, and place results to Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, powered by Google Maps. HALO is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta or Google. Use of the glasses, the Meta AI app, and any Meta or Google service is governed by their own terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian, and be legally able to enter into these terms. You are responsible for having compatible hardware (Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and a supported phone) and any required developer settings enabled on your device.
3. Your account and pairing
HALO links your glasses to the companion app using a pairing code. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your paired session and for keeping any access credentials reasonably secure.
4. Plans, billing, and the free trial
Free trial
New users get a limited number of free trips (currently 5), with no card required. Once your free trips are used, you'll need a paid plan to continue.
HALO Standard — subscription
HALO Standard is a recurring subscription (currently $4.99/month) billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current paid period, and you will not be charged again after cancellation.
HALO Unlimited — one-time
HALO Unlimited is a one-time purchase (currently $29.99) billed through Stripe. It unlocks HALO using your own Google Maps API key. You are responsible for obtaining, configuring, and securing that key, and for any charges Google applies for usage beyond Google's free allowance. Those charges are billed by Google directly to you, not by HALO.
Taxes, changes, and refunds
Prices may change; any change applies to future billing periods. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; if you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll review it in good faith. Cancelling a subscription stops future charges but does not refund the current period unless required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use HALO for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit HALO without permission;
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to HALO or its providers;
- Circumvent the free-trip limit, paywall, or access controls;
- Misuse another person's pairing, account, or API key.

7. Third-party services
HALO depends on services from Google (Maps, Routes, Places), Stripe, Meta, and Netlify. We don't control these services and aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, or actions. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms and policies.
8. Intellectual property
HALO, including its name, design, and software, is owned by Guillermo Alarcon / FutureVizion and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use HALO for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Disclaimers
HALO is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that routes, directions, or place information will be correct, safe, or suitable for your circumstances.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HALO and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) HALO, including any reliance on its navigation or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for HALO in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using HALO at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of HALO after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts located in Tokyo, Japan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
